ESSPD Membership Information

How can I become a member of the ESSPD?

ESSPD is open for all interested professionals who work in the field of personality disorders. You can apply to become a member of the ESSPD by filling out the online registration form. Upon receipt of the payment each new ESSPD member will receive a written confirmation letter with their personal username and password for the ESSPD website.


What advantages do I have as a member of the ESSPD?

The benefits of membership are:

  • Optional subscription for the Journal of Personality Disorders for a strongly reduced subscription fee
  • Reduced conference fees
  • Early bird booking for workshops at conferences

How much is the membership fee?

The fee depends on the applicant’s country of origin. Due to the differences in gross national income among the European countries, the ESSPD adjusted the annual membership fees accordingly.

Please provide written confirmation of your membership in one of these societies to the ESSDP secretary.

What payment options do I have?

When applying for the ESSPD membership please arrange payment of the membership fee. All payments should be made in EURO. You may choose between two modes of payment: bank transfer or credit card.

Payment by credit card is available once you have filled out the application form and submitted your personal data. The payment can be completed right away.


How can I cancel my ESSPD membership?

If you wish to cancel your ESSPD membership, please do so in writing or electronically at the end of your membership period. Your cancellation is valid once you have received a written confirmation from the ESSPD secretary.

What are the General Conditions?

Every member must adhere to the bylaws of the ESSPD. As a member you can vote on the General assembly and receive benefits in terms of reduced fees for ESSPD conferences, discounted rate for the Journal of Personality Disorders and early bird booking at ESSPD workshops.

Membership can be terminated by the board in the event that a member acts in violation of the articles, regulations or decisions of the society. Membership termination will also occur if a member does not meet or is late to pay their yearly contribution despite reminders or adversely affects the society in any way.
